HEADLINERS

CLUED IN

CHICAGO, IL

  • Bruce Phillips, C.J. Tuor, Edgar Nevarez, Luis Castello, Madelyn Murphy

  • Join us for an evening of intrigue and laughs as our cast gets swept up in a completely improvised murder mystery, inspired by the works of Agatha Christie, the character of Sherlock Holmes and the unfaltering grit of Scooby Doo. We'll come to you, our audience, for a suggestion and to randomly choose our detective. It's their job to solve the mystery. The following plot is completely made-up, so even we don't know whodunnit!

Clued In opened at Second City’s Beat Lounge in January of 2016, and has been performing to sold out audiences ever since. It is Second City Chicago’s longest running and most popular cabaret show.

HITCH*COCKTAILS

CHICAGO, IL

  • Audrey Schiffhauer, Bruce Phillips, C.J. Tuor, Edgar Nevarez, Madelyn Murphy

  • It starts with an audience suggestion, then the players create a full-length thriller in the style of Alfred Hitchcock. There could be murder, car chases, gunplay, shady characters, exciting music and drinks...plenty of drinks. Since this is high-class crime, the stage is complete with a wet bar and the actors will be forced to partake as the plot develops. By the end of the show, you might not be able to stand the suspense and the actors might not be able to stand at all.

Hitch*Cocktails has been performing at the Annoyance Theater for ten years, and have been awarded numerous recognitions including The Chicago Reader’s “Best Improv Troupe in Chicago.” We have performed around the country and been invited to host genre workshops at numerous theaters, festivals, universities and one federal prison. The cast includes faculty from The Annoyance, ComedySportz, Second City and iO Chicago and performers from UP Comedy Club, Second City Mainstage and e.t.c., CIC, Broadway in Chicago and many others.

IMPROVISED JANE AUSTEN

CHICAGO, IL

  • Allison Black, Emily Friedrich, Holly Robinson, Kate Parker-Barrows, Sarah Mobley, Sera Rae Young

  • Improvised Jane Austen tells a tale, on the spot, in the style of the most beloved 19th-century author. In each original story, you may be introduced to headstrong heroines, steadfast suitors, meddling mothers, charming cads, auspicious aunts, silly sisters, boisterous brothers, verbose vicars, fastidious fathers, and any number of Austenesque auteurs! The audience can expect to laugh heartily, be wooed to tears, and made to think on how much, and how little, has changed in two hundred-plus years.

Will they find themselves in a dystopian future, the land of the faeries, or a town overrun with vampires? They don't know and they'll need your suggestions to help them complete the tale! Strap in for a musical journey from beyond with Lost Realms!
